Why aren't you the cheapest junk removal company?+
Because we do more with every job. Our prices pay for hand-sorting every item, a better-trained crew, fair wages and ownership opportunities for our employees, and free or at-cost service for seniors, single mothers, and families in need through the Unfunk Your Stuff Foundation.
How is junk removal priced?+
By load size, from $300 for a single item up to $3,500 for a full load. Every price includes labor, dump fees, and hand-sorting.
How is moving priced?+
Hourly, by crew size and crew level. Master Movers (50+ jobs), Journeyman Movers (20+ jobs), and Basic Movers (10+ jobs) are all fully trained. The difference is the depth of service.
What's a "Regret Buy-Back"?+
If we haul something off and you change your mind, we'll bring it back for $50 per trip.
What happens to the stuff you remove?+
Everything is evaluated by hand before it's treated as trash. Usable items go to The Unfunkery, to families and neighbors in need, to our nonprofit partners, or to recycling. Electronics go to responsible e-waste recycling.
What is the Unfunk Your Stuff Foundation?+
Our charitable arm. It provides free and at-cost junk removal, moving, and furniture delivery to low-income seniors, single mothers, and neighbors getting a second start. It's funded by our profits and by every purchase at The Unfunkery.
What is Road to Recovery?+
A training program for people in sober recovery and people recently home from prison who are ready to build a new life. It's still in its early stages. We've been working toward it for the past year and are just getting started, but we're committed to it and actively looking for people to join. If that's you or someone you know, please apply or reach out.
Do you take hazardous chemicals?+
Ask us when you request a quote and we'll tell you what we can safely take and how.
Are there hidden fees?+
No. Every junk removal price includes labor, dump fees, and sorting. Every move includes shrink-wrapping, dollies, blankets, ratchet straps, and door-to-door service.
